Truro and Penwith College Foundation Studies student wins two medals in tennis

Taylor Marsland, Foundation Studies student at Truro College, was absolutely thrilled to walk away with two medals from the GB National Games Special Olympics.

Held in Sheffield, the games are a fantastic display of sporting talent from across the country, making it all the more impressive for Taylor to win two medals in tennis, a silver in singles and a bronze in doubles with his tennis partner James Jennings from Penwith College.

On wining the medals Taylor said: “I’m so happy. The first match was hard because there were lots of people watching but it got easier when I got more confident.” Two medals aren’t enough though for this tennis enthusiast. Taylor will be competing up in Nottingham at the end of the month where he hopes to earn even more medals to add to his collection.
