NCFE / CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector (EYE)

This course runs part-time over an academic year covering vocational and academic elements to meet specific criteria to enable access to the Early Years Workforce. Students attend college one evening or a full day per week and are also required to work within an early years setting for approx 350 hours over the year.

Topics covered during the course include:

  • Child developmental theory and provision, including implementing EYFS
  • Legislation related to working within a childcare setting
  • Vocational practice in regard to implementing activities

The tutor holds a BA (Hons) in Education and Training and has extensive experience teaching and working within the sector.

Students must hold a minimum of four GCSE's at grade 4 or 5 (or equivalent) to include English and Maths.

Previous experience working with children is an asset.

Students must have a placement in an Early Years setting before starting the course (to total approx. 350 hours across the academic year).
