Terrina Dursley

Terrina Dursley is one of the Deputy Deans for the University Centre focussing specifically on the student experience. Terrina works alongside the student representatives to ensure that all students can access and benefit from the facilities and opportunities that the University Centre offers, as well as introducing new ideas from the student body too!

Having completed her Foundation Degree in Law at Truro College, she then went on to achieve the BSc Law with Business at Plymouth University. Returning to Truro College to complete her postgraduate teaching qualification in 2009 and achieving QTLS the following year, Terrina then taught Law for 7 years in Hampshire before joining Truro College in 2016. Alongside teaching, Terrina trained as an examiner for both Law and Criminology with external exam boards and completed the CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management.

During her time at Truro College, Terrina co-ordinated the CILEx provision training legal executives, taught on A level Law and ran the Law Academy which included competing in the National Bar Mock Trial Competition. Terrina is now the Programme Lead for the Law with Business FdSc and the Law with Criminology and Criminal Justice FdSc and teaches on the LL.B Law Degree.

Terrina is excited about her role as a Deputy Dean for the University Centre commenting:

“The students here are fantastic! They achieve so much during their time here and it is always wonderful to see what they do after graduating. Their successes are a testament to their hard work, but also indicative of the support and guidance we provide. The career focussed courses we offer are taught by both academic and industry experts who provide an outstanding learning experience. This, together with the resources, opportunities and support services, equip students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to embark upon their chosen careers.
