Apprentices, their families and colleagues came together on Friday 07 February 2025 to celebrate in style and witness an historic Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards as Truro and Penwith College hosted its ninth annual event at the Eden Project.

Nominations for the 2026 Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards will open in the Autumn.

celebrating county-wide success

The Awards showcased the achievements of 49 shortlisted employer, mentor and apprentice nominees after a record-breaking year, with well over 140 nominations received across 18 categories. The ever-popular public vote to help determine Cornwall’s Achiever of the Year also attracted well over a record-breaking 700 online votes from members of the public.

Neil and Saffy from the Hits Radio Cornwall Breakfast Show took centre stage to present the awards, held in partnership with Headline Sponsors Hertzian, Award Partners Duchy Hospital, Wildanet, Watson-Marlow, Media Partners Business Cornwall, Reception sponsors CORMAC and with the support of a host of local and national sponsors, to recognise and reward exceptional achievement.

Who was eligible for nomination?

Nominations were accepted from anyone including employers, friends, family members and colleagues. Employers and apprentices could even nominate themselves.

The free to enter process was open to anyone who has taken part in or provided Apprenticeship training since 21 June 2023, regardless of their training provider. The business's head office or main business premises should be based in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

If a business is sponsoring a category they will only judge categories where no representatives from their business have been nominated.
